Remote Data Transmission Unit GSM-1

The days are gone when you had to drive every day from measuring station to measuring station in every kind of weather to record the latest water level or read out the installed data logger, because the GSM-1 now sends measuring data by SMS or data link directly to your office!
The GSM-1 from KELLER makes this possible, an instrument which offers the following advantages:

- Autonomous (battery-powered). Up to 5 years service life, depending on the configuration
- Waterproof (can be briefly flooded)
- Data measuring and collecting in a fixed time interval. All data transmitted by SMS
- Alarm SMS transmitted for important occurrences (changes in level relative to time / a drop occurs below a level, or the level is exceeded)
- Periodic transmission of system information via SMS
- Inquiry of incoming SMS’s with control commands
- Direct data link from PC in the office to the DCX in the field. The stored measuring data can be read out via this connection using the modem reader software, or the DCX can be reconfigured.
- SMS content can be configured (text, measuring channels and resolution of measuring values, redirection of SMS to fax or e-mail)
- Housing for integration in 2” sounding pipe closure

GSM-1 Software

GSM-1 Setup: Configuration Software for GSM-1

This program allows the configuration of GSM-1. Following a selection of parameters that can be set:

- Actual time of the GSM-1
- Time and interval for inquiries via SMS
- Time and interval for data transmission via SMS

Time and interval for transmission of alarm SMS with indication of the alarm criteria (Alarm SMS)
-

Time and interval for transmission of SMS with antenna signal strength indication and battery capacity (Info SMS)

Time and interval for the set-up of data communication via modem.

The communication between PC and GSM-1 requires a converter cable.

Modem-Logger: Read out of DCX-Recordings via GSM-1

The Modem-Logger is very similar to the Logger DCX 4.x with the difference that now the DCX is linked via the GSM-1 and the Modem to the PC and is thus not directly connected. The GSM-1 can be configured in a way that it sets up a direct data connection with a PC in a certain interval. The PC must be ready to receive the call and to read out the data of the DCX.

With the Modem-Logger, everythings takes place automatically. The program has to be configured once (i.e. Port-Number of the PC-Modem) and may then run in the background. It awaits a call by the GSM-1 and reads out the last recording from the DCX which is connected to the GSM-1. This recording is automatically stored.

In such way, a DCX installed in the field can comfortably be read out from your office!
